James F. Wessel


James F. Wessel is a graduate of the University of Alabama – Huntsville where he received a degree in Business Administration in 1997. The following year he completed Emergency Medical Technician training through the University of Alabama – Birmingham. He also completed the Executive Development Institute through the Kenan Flagler Business school at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He has been active in Fire/EMS delivery and management since 1996. He has served at the President of Samaritan’s board of directors since its inception. He would be the first to tell you how proud he is of the men and women that make up Samaritan’s staff and the quality and compassionate care that they deliver daily.



Ben Yanhkho

General Manager

Benjamen Yanhko is a graduate of Calhoun Community College where he received an Associates of Applied Science Degree. He has completed leadership course with Dave Ramsey’s Entreleadership and East Alabama Leadership Academy. He was a founding member of Samaritan EMS. He brings over 10 years of EMS Management Experience. He serves as the General Manager and a Paramedic for Samaritan.


Jonathan Bartlett

Operations Manager

Jonathan Bartlett serves as the Operations Manager and a Paramedic for Samaritan EMS. He completed all of his EMS training at Calhoun Community College. He has continued his management training by taking courses such as Disney’s Leadership course, EMS Leadership Academy through East Alabama EMS, and Leadercast 2014. He has been with Samaritan since the company’s start in March of 2007. He feels very blessed to work with such a great staff that strives to go above and beyond their call of duty to serve the citizens of North Alabama.
